OK, gang . . . . Here are three links to whet your marketing juices and get those ideas flowing!
- Jonathan Fields has written a terrific little blog post (complete with a not-to-miss video) called Marketing Heresey: Own Your Crazy. Although he’s using yoga rather than psychotherapy as his focus, I’m sure you’ll see the applications to your practice, too.
- Dean Hunt’s YouTube video, Step by Step is a Step in the Wrong Direction, is definitely worth a look, too. He’s a bit blunt in sharing his thoughts here but, it’s also a deal-breaker for the successful entrepreneur.
- The Behance Team’s end-of-the-year post on Momentum: The Key to Make Your Big Ideas Happen in 2011 will help you create new habits to keep you focused and moving forward.
After you check them out, I hope you’ll drop back in here and let us know what’s got your attention for 2011. (I’m giddy and up to my ears working on my projects and getting ready to announce them soon!)
Tamara,
I loved the video. Sometimes I feel I want a step by step but can’t seem to bring my self to the point of abandoning my baby.
Launching a practice is work but it is my work and my passion.
Brenda
I can so relate to that, Brenda! Step-by-step gives me that sense of security . . . although I know that it is often a false sense of security. Still . . . it is what we learn as toddlers, isn’t it? To do things one step at a time. However, what sets your practice apart is not that it looks like everyone else’s! It’s that it sets itself apart by being different and focusing on your individual strengths!
I hear about your practice, Brenda, so I know you are out there doing some things right! Congrats to you!
Thanks so much, Jennifer for the RT!
Tamara, this is an inspiring post, and I loved that Sonic Yoga video–really creative and fun. I can see why you’re such a great coach. I especially appreciated your humorous nudge that I get a new post up on my own blog! Thanks so much, will have one up by this weekend. You are the BEST!
Thanks, Gail! I so appreciate the comments from you and other readers! Looking forward to seeing you at the Blogettes meeting later this month!
